OUR MISSION
Our mission is to help organizations of all sizes—from sole proprietors to mid-size companies to multinational corporations—develop the knowledge and resources to create workplaces that increase the bottom line by improving the health, engagement, productivity, and happiness of their employees. Our mission is based on years of research demonstrating that our increasingly fast, chaotic, and stressful world is creating what is being called the next pandemic: burnout, a multi-dimensional condition that affects both mind and body.
Having employees who are able to function effectively for the decades of their working life and who can deal with the increasing number and types of stressors is critical to the success of any organization. Decades of organizational research have shown that healthy and engaged employees are more productive, while healthy workplace environments have less turnover, greater sustainability, efficiency, and reduced healthcare and absentee costs. Losing key employees to burnout is exceptionally costly compared to implementing programs that identify stress and help employees learn how to manage it in their lives.
As a company, our initial efforts are thus aimed at preventing and managing stress and burnout. Our offerings include a confidential holistic questionnaire that employees can take to assess if they are experiencing the symptoms of burnout. Participants receive a personalized, confidential report indicating their overall “state of energy” and whether they are in any of the four stages of burnout. For those who show symptoms of burnout in the questionnaire, they can then follow up with our individualized coaching, including information on lifestyle changes and the potential need to obtain further medical testing and a medical treatment plan. Our offering also includes customized multi-module training program—one for leaders and one for employees—to learn how to develop the habits and lifestyle of well-being.
Our mission will eventually expand into providing knowledge and training about other health issues and lifestyle illnesses that impact the workplace in the physical, emotional, mental, and social dimensions of well-being. Our ultimate goal is to help organizations and individuals maximize the conditions in their workplaces so that leaders and employees can have extraordinarily satisfying and productive lives.
